From reading everyone else's bio, it appears that "four letter words" are a no-no. Since they make up about 50% of my vocabulary, it will shorten my biography. Such is life...
   Let's try to keep the long story as short as possible. After high school, I went to U-M. Hated it. Then I went to "Drake University" law school in the cultural hotbed of Des Moines, Iowa. I was a lawyer for about 6 years. I am still licensed in Michigan, Oregon and Minnesota. 
   About 2000, I realized there was pretty much nothing on earth that I hated more than the practice of law. So I bagged it and investigated becoming a teacher. I saw an ad for "Teaching English in Japan". I like to travel and I thought this would be a paid opportunity to find out if I liked teaching before jumping in. 
   What was supposed to be a 1-2 year stint has become my life. I married a Japanese woman (I had to move across the WORLD to find someone insane enough to marry me), worked at various schools and institutions, and finally opened my own private English school in my house. I can't say I'm rich, but I'm actually doing better now than as a lawyer when I left the USA. Another plus: I no longer have regular urges to punch random strangers or buy assault rifles. 
   I have no pictures to upload yet, so I'll have to describe myself until I can get one. The moustache? Gone in 1990. The HAIR? Steadily fell out over time (related to a legal career), so I now have a near-bald haircut. The height? Same. Still a short guy. Slim high school figure? Gone YEARS ago. Basically, I'm every woman's dream: short, bald and semi-fat guy.  
   I keep in semi-regular contact with Steve Gregurek - still one of the funniest people I know, Mike Bilen - who took over Herr Lelco's job (if you weren't aware), and Matt and Amy Desjardins - who are raising the loveliest kids you could ever hope to meet. 
   Questions? Comments? Abuse? Fire them on over. I try to answer my e-mails, although I often move at the speed of a continental drift (sorry Skip and John). Hope to see everyone at the reunion!

I guess I'll join in on the cliche: "Wow, I can't believe its been 20yrs!!" Seriously, I still feel 20 most of the time, Probably more mentally and emotionally, not necessarily physically! The Journey....I joined the U.S. Army in 1993 and spent 13yrs between active duty and National Guard duty. Lived in Hawaii, New York, Florida. Traveled to many other states along the way and have found my way back home..again. I currently live Downriver, Wyandotte, lovely little town. Attending U of M-Dearborn.  Still not sure what I want to be when I grow up!! My Daughter Noelle is 11, and we joke that we will be in college together!  I am really excited about seeing everyone, so many people have done so many interesting things, its wonderful! See you in August!

Wow...where has the last 20 years gone?  After graduating with dual degrees in Marketing and German, I did the corporate gig for a long time. 7 years ago, I made my father retire from the business and took ownership over….boy did I grow up quickly!!!!  It has been quite rewarding…I say I have 10 kids - my employees, a great team at JEM.  

 

I have been with my boyfriend for 4 years in Harrison Twp.  We have no children; however have 2 Whippets (mini greyhounds) & 2 cats.  Steve said no more animals…or I have to find a new home.

 

I really enjoy living in Harrison Twp. We like to boat, jet ski and ride our Harleys.  I still like to travel. I have not been back to Germany since 2000 – yes New Year’s Eve…people said I was nuts to go at that time…it was ok…I was able to celebrate 2000 twice in a night.

Hey All,

20 years?  In some ways it seems like one or two and in others it feels like 200.  I've had close to 20 addresses in that time.

I  now live in Hyattsville, MD with my wife of 15 years, Susan,  our two kids, Lila (4) and Daniel (10 months) and work for Oracle from home full-time.  Yes, I still have long hair, but it's a new thing, it was short for 14 of the last 19 years...  (Update: Okay, I gave up on the long hair.  It was just driving me crazy.)

It would be great to see everyone from high school and catch up.
