State/Prov.: MI Occupation: Marketing Marital Status: Committed Relationship From Beth : Well hello. A little redundant, but do you believe it’s been 20 years? That is more time that has passed than the age we were at graduation. WOW. Anyway, it is good to catch up on what everyone is doing. Really, I have no earth-shattering news. I have been working at a reference publishing firm in some type of marketing capacity for 12 years and loving it. I travel quite a bit (domestically) for my job. I live in West Bloomfield. I've been fortunate enough to do a few triathlons, and for 2 years have been happily dating a man who makes me laugh. What more can I say? I am looking forward to seeing everyone on the 8th! |

State/Prov.: MI Occupation: stay-at-home mom Marital Status: Married No. of Children: 2 From Dana: June 7th, 2008-- Taking a cue from Eric Hofer (again!), I too have removed my very long (yet truthful!) updates. If you are at all interested in hearing the details of my journey through epilepsy, and the brain surgery I underwent this year to correct it, please check the message board. For now, recovery is going well, a few bumps, but nothing unexpected. No more seizures, and that's the important part. I leave you here with my original biography... *********************************************** November, 2007-- We all know the cliché about the chubby, geeky high school girl with glasses who grows up to be stunningly beautiful when she shows up at her 20th reunion? How about this one—the cute, sorta-popular cheerleader who grows up to be a chubby, geeky woman with glasses and everyone at the reunion says “Wow, she sure let herself go!” Well, I’m not that bad, I hope. I don’t think I’m geeky, anyway. Here’s my last 20 years— After high school, I did not go the college route like most of my friends did, I got a crappy retail grocery job instead. Eventually, I decided what I wanted to do when I grew up, and went to HEC School of Therapeutic Massage in Lapeer. I found myself surrounded by crystal-gripping metaphysical types, and during those years I unfortunately lost touch with my best high school girlfriends (but I never forgot about you guys, I think about you all the time!) I only practiced massage for a few years, but I did make a very important friend—and she later introduced me to her brother, David, in ’94, and we’ve been happily together ever since. David and I moved to the Life is pretty good, I’m very lucky. I did have a health scare this past September, and found out that I have temporal-lobe epilepsy. It was out of the blue, we were all shocked. I’m still learning how to deal with it. My doctor says I may very likely be a surgical candidate, and I’m going through testing now to find out. I hate taking the anti-seizure medication, so believe it or not, having brain surgery would actually be okay with me—as long as my hair grows back before August, that is. I hope everyone has found what they’ve been looking for in life. I really enjoy reading about everyone—please add more photos! I love seeing the resemblances between parents and kids. I will have to restrain myself from posting too many pictures of my boys, with whom I am madly in love (oh, and my husband too, of course). I’m still a shutterbug—that part of me hasn’t changed. In fact, quite a few of those yearbook pictures on this website were taken by me, way back when. And speaking of yearbook pictures, I’m sure glad “big hair” went out of style… I’ve gone on long enough now, see you in August, if not before! Love, Dana |
